Concept2 Today

Concept2 got its start in 1976 in the back of a bread truck when Dick and Pete Dreissigacker, fresh from Olympic training, started making composite racing oars—now the oar of choice among the world's rowers. They went on to create the Concept2 Indoor Rower, now used worldwide by Olympic athletes, cardiac rehab patients and every caliber of rower in between. Since then we've grown to over 50 employees, and our product line includes the Indoor Rower and Dreissigacker Racing Oars. Though much larger than we once were, we remain dedicated to providing the most innovative rowing products and programs to our customers.

Concept2 offers the Online Logbook and Ranking that allows you to track your workouts and compare them against rowers all over the world; an online training forum, Workout of the Day, rowing software, marathon rowing, rowing challenges with prizes and acknowledgment at the end, and distance clubs with incentive prizes. Concept2's technical support can't be beat. We offer in-house rower and oar service technicians, technical support at major worldwide rowing events and the C.R.A.S.H.-B.s, and video mail-in technique critique. We offer a host of literature, free for the asking, in order to help our customers achieve their fitness goals.
